Winnie in Molly Rosewolf

All of my (few) posts so far on this blog have been beauty related, however after my recent experience with triangl swimwear I decided that I had to blog about them.

I'm sure most of you have heard of/seen triangl bikinis before - bronze toned goddesses on Instagram wearing incredible bright bikinis. Like many others I was drawn to these bikinis and so started the battle of deciding on the style that I wanted. It took me a ridiculous amount of time to decide (ask my friends how annoying this was for them..) but I finally decided to get Winnie in Molly rosewolf.

I'm not going to lie but receiving these was a bit of a hassle - with no fault of traingl but from the postage company who held my package in the state for a strangely long time before delivering them to the wrong address. Luckily I contacted triangl who were so wonderful about the whole situation and told me to let them know details from the shipping company and that they would follow them up. Luckily, after a few days my bikinis were delivered to my door.

The bikinis themselves were incredible quality and were packaged in the nicest neoprene beach bag. Unfortunately, although being limited in the bust region I had underestimated my breast size and the XS top that I ordered was far too small. Luckily though I was able to organise an exchange and the traingl team actually sent my new bikini back as soon as I showed them my shipping receipt so that I didn't have to wait, which I considered to be amazing!

When exchanging I actually decided to choose a different style and went with the Milly in Arizona Sunset, a gorgeous bra style bikini in the brightest orange.

Milly in Arizona Sunset
I ended up ordering these in a size small for both the top and the bottoms and they fit perfectly! Once again they are made from high quality neoprene, however they came in a solid and slightly sexy black box to ensure the cups would not be squashed - rather than a beach bag. These bikinis are the perfect style for my body shape and enhance all of the right areas whilst making me look a lot more tanned than I actually am.

As I was so impressed with the fit of these bikinis I decided to order a bra in the same style. Unfortunately after I ordered the bra triangl informed me that they were actually out of the style I had ordered and to make up for it offered me either a full refund or two bikinis of my choice at no extra cost! Let's just stop here and give triangl a round of applause for THE best customer service ever.

Anyway, I decided to get another set of Milly bikinis, this time in Santa Rosa Splash and a pair of the black neons in pink rush. I ordered both of these with tops and bottoms both in size small.

Milly in Santa Rosa Splash and Black Neon in Pink Rush

For some reason triangl actually posted these bikinis with FedEx rather than toll on a Friday and they arrived at my door on the Monday! Potentially the fastest international postage ever.
I'm not going to go into details about the Santa Rosa splash bikinis as they fit as amazingly as the Arizona sunset ones. What I will say through is that the colour is amazing - photos do it no justice.

Black Neon - Pink Rush

I will however go into the black neon pink rush bikinis. I almost like these more than the milly style, potentially because they are the most incredible shade of pink. Like the other pairs I had tried these bikinis are of the highest quality. They come in a pink mesh neoprene beach bag that matches the top to keep them safe. I was a little worried that the top of these would be too big after once again doubting my bust size, however the small in these fit me perfectly. The bottoms are made from a slightly thinner neoprene than the milly style and are made a little smaller (see photo below), however stretch to fit me perfectly.

Underneath, Black Neon - Top, Milly

Overall I would give my experience with triangl 5 stars. They have the best customer service I have experienced online and their bikinis are of a very high quality. If cost is something holding you back I will definitely say that I think these are completely worth it. I will mention that the bikinis must be stored flat and washed carefully as neoprene has a tendency to crease, although you are given a card with these instructions with every pair of bikinis. Unfortunately (but not really) triangl have just released the poppy style which are absolutely beautiful and so I wish I could have another pair, however I will wait patiently until I can justify another pair to myself one day.

I hope this post helped you if you were thinking about getting some triangl bikinis, feel free to ask any questions in the comments below. Let me know if you have had any experiences with triangl or if there are any other styles you would recommend!

    1. I am a size 32-34/C in bras and an Australian 8 in bottoms usually. My sister is a size 32B and the small fits her. I would recommend the style if you have a smaller bust as it gives you a little extra! The XS might fit you better back wise (as the small back is borderline too big for me) and might fit better in the cup too :) hope this helps a little!

  2. This was so useful - I was apprehensive about ordering the black neon because the back isn't adjustable but I think I'll take the plunge - the pink does look really beautiful. I think I'd get the orange eeek tough decision. You made it a lot easier given we're practically the same size! x

  3. Thank you so much for this review - especially on the Black Neon as there aren't too many reviews on it yet!
I have been back and forwards for weeks now trying to decide what size top I should get in the Orange Burst Black Neon.
I was wondering if you would be generous enough to take the time to measure the 3 sides of the triangle on your size small top of the pink one? so the Bottom, and the 2 sides in cm. I want to be able to draw it out on paper so I can see. My bra size fluctuates between brands and I just don't know if I would be a Medium or Small and I'm a little pressed for time to choose the wrong size and return it before my trip south. I appreciate this so much if you are able to!!

  5. Hello! I am thinking of ordering a triangl bathing suit to Canada but im unsure of bottom sizing as the triangl size guide isnt much help! im trying to decide between size xsmall and small, im 34 inch hips and 26 inch waist, just wondering what your measurements were? as the size 0-2 and 3-4 dont really help me sadly :(

    1. Hello! Sorry for the delayed reply. My hips are 35 inches and my waist is 25 inches. If you have a butt I would probably recommend the small :)

    2. Did you end up ordering to Canada? Did you get additional charges when the package arrived?

    3. I am looking to order to Canada too. I heard the customs charges can be around $45. did you end up ordering Nicole? If so, what did it acctually cost? I am looking to ship to Ontario..

    4. In the US I got charged $73 from FexEx for customs. I had no idea that I would be getting these charges so that was a shock. It was that much for 3 bikinis so the total of my purchase was about $260. They base customs cost on the price of the bikinis.

  7. I am considering getting the Milly and the Black Neon bikini. I am a size 32-34B, 00 in American Eagle, and 16 in Abercrombie. I don't know what size I should get. I heard some styles run smaller and others run larger.

    1. Hey, your top sizing sounds pretty similar to my friend who fits into the size small, however the back is slightly big on her. If you are a large B cup I would probably recommend the small to avoid over exposure, but if you're a smaller B cup then the size small cups on the Milly may gape on you a little. For the black neon i think the biggest issue for you would be the band size as the triangles on the small fit my friend fine also. I would have a look at the exact measurements on their website and compare your back measurement to that :)

As far as bottoms go I'm from australia and am not familiar with American eagle or Abercrombie sizing (the website sizing also doesn't help me much). I'm a small and my hips are 35 in and my waist is 25 in, if measuring yourself helps a little. I would definitely recommend chatting to the lovely ladies online about bottom sizing! I will say though that my milly bottoms are a fair bit bigger than the black neon ones!

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

  11. I am worried that I might feel exposed with the cold water... I am unsure if the milly style has padding or something so I don't feel embarrassed. How is that on the style of suit?

    ReplyDelete

    1. The neoprene in the Milly is quite thick and structured so if the water is cold (as it always is) it shouldn't reveal anything! I haven't had any issues with it :)

    1. If you are a small C cup I would recommend the small, however if you are a larger C cup then maybe try a medium as there may not be enough coverage on the small! Although that being said you would probably need to take the back in on the medium being a size 34 :)

  18. Hi Ella

Your review on the black neon swimsuit was so helpful. Thank you for that. I have just a couple questions that I didn’t see answers to above. I have spent several days watching and reading reviews and spoken to their sales reps twice and have received different answers on sizing. I am wondering based on your knowledge you might be able to clear this up for me!
    1. For the bottoms I am 30 inch hips 25 inch waist size 0-1 US jeans. Does an XS sound like it makes sense?

    2. For the top, do you find there is any gaping with movement? Or does it stay on nicely? I am used to halter tie tops and they don’t seem to gape. I am a 34 B. They recommended a size S. Could I trouble you to provide the measurement of the strap that goes along the under bust? I understand that part is not adjustable.

Thank you So much for your great review and your help. I hope to do this right the first time!

  19. Hi! Your review is so helpful. The sizing is stumping me even after I live chatted with them. I usually am a 36B bra and I'm nervous about the top not fitting. I wanted to ask about their exchanges, did you have to pay extra shipping to send it back or did they cover the cost?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I reckon you would probably fit into a size small. The back has a fair bit of space and the cups are moulded nicely so should fit you. I had to pay to send it back but the post for the new pair was free and they sent them to me as soon as I sent the receipt through to prove I had posted the old ones back!

  23. Hey Ella, the three Triangl bikini's you've selected are so pretty! I love the colours! I have the Milly in Santa Rosa Splash which I've done a quick review of here: http://www.dominiquekane.com/all-the-angles-on-triangl-swimwear-review/. I really like the design but I'm not a big fan of the bottoms (they cut into my hips). I'm also not sure I like neoprene for bikini bottoms, mine seem to get hot really quickly since they don't breathe and take just forever to dry out after a swim. Do you find this with yours?

  30. Hi Ella! I'm from the US, and I'm trying to get the Milly- Santa Rosa Splash, but I'm alittle curious on the sizing for the bottoms, I can wear size 0's in pants and they fit perfectly, but size 2 is alittle loose. I know the style is hipster so I'm curious on how that plays out?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I find that the bottoms are quite snug around the hips as they are worn so low and that the bottom part is quite small comparatively on some styles. I'm between a size 2 and 4 and the small fits me perfectly. I would probably say an XS would fit you if you have hips, otherwise I'm not sure if they make them any smaller than that sorry!

  34. Hey thanks for the review it was so helpful! I actually spoken to one of the ppl on triangl through live chat, I'm a size 32d and they recommend I go for a size Large or small plus (for large bust and small under bust.) I feel like that would be to big for me, I even told them I'm a small D. But they told me that a medium might not have the coverage for me. Do you think I should go with my gut and order a medium or follow their suggestion?

    1. Actually I am a size 32C/D and M is even to small for me. Did you go for the small+ ? If yes how does it fit? Because I am thinking about ordering another pair and I'm again not sure which size I should go for.
